Ad Rates

Demographics The USF Encounter is a monthly publication produced by the students of the University of St. Francis, with a circulation of 1,000. Founded in 1920, The University of St. Francis is a Catholic, Franciscan university serving approximately 4,500 students each year at the Joliet campus.

Advertising Policy The USF Encounter reserves the right to refuse any advertising not consistant with the mission of the University. Advertisers and their agencies are entirely responsible for the content of their advertising and responsible for any claims. Advertising placement is determined by editorial layout. Cancellations must be received no later than the ad deadline. Ads received after the deadline will be placed at the editor’s discretion.

Full Page - 9½” x 15” - $150

Half Page - 9½” x 7½” - $100

Quarter Page - 5” x 7½” - $75

Ad Formats Black and white ads only. Acceptable file types are high-quality .PDF, .TIFF, or .JPG. Unacceptable file types include Microsoft Publisher and low-resolution images. Ad creation rate is an additional $25.

USF organizations receive a 15% discount on ads. Pre-pay for two ads for the year, get the third for half price.

To place an ad in The Encounter: Email ad copy to encounter@stfrancis.edu. Make checks payable to Univ. of St. Francis (memo: Encounter) and mail to 500 Wilcox Street, Joliet IL 60435. Payment must be received by deadline. Credit cards also accepted.
